Travelling Stage
Synopsis
It could be said that the store we pretend to tell is like a walk through the stages of life.
This is neither a story of crowds and big concerts, nor a meeting of winners or canned promises. There are not even fans shouting nor life faintness. Because this is not the story of a frantic race along the motorways of success, but that of a peaceable walk through the stages of life.
These are the stages where a man appears with his music, and also the geography with its people. The man, the music, is called Luis Pastor. And the geography, its people, have name of cherry and open laugh and sweat: the villages of Extremadura.
Luis’ music has sounds of land and fresh water, like his voice. This is why he does not need focuses, nor shop windows where to be sold. This is why he is always ready to sing, in any place where he is asked to, because he does not sing to be successful but to enjoy.
This is a walk through the human, social and political geography of a region and its people. This is a tour –here and now- along their aspirations, their longings, their gains and their desires, and also along their deceptions, their sufferings, their trifles and their silences.
This is a walk through the stages of life at the hands of Luis Pastor, with his music, his songs, his voice and the warrant of its people, its countrymen, those he composes and sings for. This is the aim we pretend to achieve.
