ORIA FILMS

Born to a Spanish mother and a Nicaraguan father, I spent half of my life in each country - up to nine years ago, when I moved to Mexico. I trained as a sociologist, and my pre-film experience was in field research, and in the sustainable development of rural projects. Since 1996 until 2001 I work as producer of advertisement, documentaries, and fiction’s films.

In January 2003 I completed a feature-length documentary, The Passion of María Elena, with support from the Sundance Documentary Fund (2002 Sundance Institute program).

Financed by Sundance Documentary Fund and Jan Vrijman Fund, with support from Ibermedia program and co produced by Oria Films, I am currently working on A Tale of Two Brothers, The inmortal, a feature-length documentary film on production (Nicaragua 2004).
